How To Disconnect Drain From Bathroom Sink

Use a damp cloth to wipe away any dirt or debris from the surfaces of the sink and the drain line. 5. Apply a bead of plumber's putty to the mating surface of the sink. The plumber's putty will help to create a watertight seal between the sink and the drain line. 6. Reattach the drain line to the sink. Align the drain line with the mating surface of the sink and push it into place. Tighten the nuts that hold the drain line in place using the adjustable wrench. 7. Turn on the water supply to the sink and check for leaks. If there are any leaks, tighten the nuts on the drain line until the leaks stop.
