How To Install Bathroom Light Fixture
Installing a bathroom light fixture is a relatively simple task that can be completed in a few hours. However, it is important to follow the instructions carefully to ensure that the fixture is installed safely and correctly.
The first step is to turn off the power to the bathroom at the circuit breaker. Once the power is off, remove the old light fixture by unscrewing the mounting screws. If the old fixture is wired with wire nuts, twist the wire nuts counterclockwise to loosen them and then pull the wires apart. If the old fixture is wired with push-in connectors, simply squeeze the connectors and pull the wires out.
Next, connect the wires from the new light fixture to the wires from the ceiling. The black wire from the fixture should be connected to the black wire from the ceiling, the white wire from the fixture should be connected to the white wire from the ceiling, and the green or bare wire from the fixture should be connected to the ground wire from the ceiling.
Once the wires are connected, tuck them neatly into the electrical box and then screw the mounting screws into the electrical box to secure the light fixture.
Finally, turn the power back on at the circuit breaker and test the new light fixture to make sure that it is working properly.
