Adjustable wrench

O-rings (if needed)
Replacement cartridge (if needed)
Plumber's putty (optional)

Troubleshooting

Before you disassemble the faucet, try to identify the source of the problem. Common issues include:

Leaking from the base of the handle: This is usually caused by a worn O-ring.
Dripping from the spout: This could be caused by a faulty cartridge or mineral deposits.
Difficulty turning the handle: This may be due to a clogged cartridge or a loose handle.

Fixing the Faucet

Once you have identified the problem, follow these steps to fix the faucet:

Shut off the water supply: Locate the shut-off valves under the sink and turn them off.
Remove the handle: Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screw that secures the handle to the faucet. Lift the handle off the stem.
Replace the O-ring (if necessary): If the leak is coming from the base of the handle, inspect the O-ring for any damage or wear. Replace the O-ring if needed.
Remove the cartridge: Use an adjustable wrench to loosen the cartridge nut. Pull the cartridge straight up to remove it.
Install a new cartridge (if necessary): If the cartridge looks damaged or worn, replace it with a new one. Align the cartridge with the slots in the faucet body and insert it straight down.
Tighten the cartridge nut: Hand-tighten the cartridge nut and then use the adjustable wrench to tighten it further.
Reattach the handle: Place the handle back on the stem and secure it with the screw.
Turn on the water supply: Slowly turn on the shut-off valves and check for any leaks.
